Last night the cul-de-sac crew had a mini egg hunt. Riley, unfortunately, had already fallen asleep for the night so she missed out on the fun.
And then this morning we took the kids to Smith-Gilbert gardens for their egg hunt, which was tons of fun!
They even had arts and crafts to pass the time before your scheduled hunt-
Shepard's finished tile:
And the Easter Bunny himself made an appearance. Let's just say RQ had some cognitive dissonance regarding said bunny. She was fascinated as long as he was at least 5 yards away. But Sheppy went right in for the pic!
Riley's egg hunt was first, but she picked up two eggs and felt no need to keep working for more. We need to cultivate a better work ethic with this one. But she was able to take the raffle tickets from her two eggs and trade them in for a necklace and pencil - score!
Next up was Shepard's age group, where the eggs were more hidden. He had a great strategy, and found more eggs than almost anyone else even though he was on the young end of the age range for his group!
