Santa Day Three

To finish off our Santa themed weekend, the big man himself visited our house on Sunday! See, Ted knows Santa personally since Santa is a client of his. Little known fact - Ted is actually licensed to practice law in the North Pole jurisdiction!

We can't post the good pictures as those are top secret, but here are some sneak peaks that won't be appearing in our Christmas cards this year:

Shepard watching Santa pull up in the Chevy Ta-ho ho ho.

Riles meeting Santa for the first time:

"Look Santa, I can pull my belt through my collar!"

I don't even want to know what Ted asked for this year:

Santa Parade

After Santa visited Acworth on Friday night he rode down 41 to visit Kennesaw on Saturday morning. Obviously that requires a parade!!!

Waiting for the parade to start:

It was absolutely frigid and we forgot Shepard's gloves. Fail. He was a good sport though and wore some of Riley's pink strawberry socks that I found in the bottom of the diaper bag as pseudo gloves.

The parade took forever to start, so we had to get some BBQ for lunch from the food trucks. #Iseewhatyoudidthere

Santa was at the end of the parade and Riley had just woken up and Shepard was melting down from the cold wind so we totally missed him. Better luck next year!

Santa in Acworth

We went to dinner at Henry's tonight so we could catch Santa's big arrival in downtown Acworth! The mayor read "'Twas the Night Before Christmas", we sang carols, and Santa rode in on a fire truck. But most importantly, Shepard got a glow necklace.

The Recycled Jumpy Seat

I brought out Shepard's old jumpy seat during playtime today... The first stage of the jumpy seat introduction is shock and disbelief...

Followed by the second stage - mild curiosity...

And finally, stage three - acceptance and enjoyment!

A look back at Shepard's first time in the jumpy:

Christmas Tree Farm

We obviously don't need to buy a live tree from a farm, but that doesn't mean we can't go visit a farm for some holiday merriment on a beautiful Sunday afternoon!

With some Christmas trees and a "sword". How festive!

Enjoying the farm animals...

Riding the tire horse:

And finally, roasting marshmallows with Daddy in the fire pit!

Oh, yum.
